Hangjia Zhao studied Biotechnology for her Bachelor’s degree at Xiamen University, China. Then she graduated from ETH Zurich with a Master’s degree in Computation Biology and Bioinformatics. During her studies at ETH Zurich, her learning interest was in data science such as machine learning approaches to integrate and analyse large biological data sets. Integration of multisource and multimodel mass cytometry data is the topic of her master thesis. Now she’s a PhD student in UZH, working on CNV data calibration and integration, and analysis of gene-specific contribution in cancer.
