Alessandra grew up in Riva San Vitale, Ticino, and received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Neuchâtel in 2022. She has always been very fascinated by the fine mechanisms that orchestrate the physiology of organisms, and in the development of neuronal circuits she has definitely found the perfect match. Her master's project aims to elucidate the signaling mechanisms of PTK7, a co-receptor that acts as molecular switch in several signaling pathways in neural circuit formation, with particular focus on the spinal cord and the cerebellum.
During her free time she likes to play basketball, cook, read a lot of books, and of course hang out with friends.
