Sanne Hertegonne
Office Y13-J-22
Sanne is a postdoctoral researcher with a background in infection biology and immunology. She completed her PhD at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Hospital Epidemiology of the University Hospital of Zurich, where she investigated the intricate interplay between bacterial pathogens and the innate immune system, with a particular focus on neutrophils. In her current role, Sanne will delve deeper into the molecular mechanisms underlying regulated cell death, especially necroptosis, and to uncover how these processes shape inflammation and immune responses across various skin diseases.
Outside of the lab, Sanne enjoys running, pottery and discovering new coffee shops around the city.
