Vincent was born in Biel, Switzerland. After studying Business Administration and working in the financial industry, he decided to change his career path and started a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at the University of Zurich. During his Bachelor thesis in the Lab of Prof. Ohad Medalia, he worked on targeted deletions in the lamin-A gene using CRISPR-Cas9 based methods. Vincent joined the Gilmour lab in 2024 as a Master's student and will be studying how keratin genes influence the development of the skin in zebrafish embryos.

In his free time, Vincent likes to dance Bachata, play board games, and do some backpacking to discover new cultures.
