Vlad finished his master thesis in the Jessberger lab at HIFO, UZH, in single cell data analysis. After obtaining his master thesis, he worked as an intern in Systems Biology group at Roche, where he gained experience regarding machine learning, bulk-sequencing and microarray technologies. Currently he is doing a shared PhD with the Jessberger lab. His general interests are machine learning (applied in biology), cell-cell communication algorithms and single-cell analysis. His PhD project is based on using single-cell and spatial transcriptomics data to identify molecular changes, mainly in the neurogenic niche, that drive neurogenesis to decline with age.
